Festivalgoer guide

A festival takes planning! Fono takes place over 3 days, right in the heart of the fantastic Université Laval campus. Shows start in the afternoon and wrap up in the early hours with the Fono Extras at the Pub Universitaire.

Be ready!

Before

  • Check the schedule to plan your visit . Scoop: the best shows aren't just in the evening! 
  • Study the site map to locate the entrance, the best food options, and all the activities waiting for you. 
  • Find out about allowed and prohibited items . 
  • Plan how you get here! Opt for active or public transportation : bus, bike, walking, aVélo, carpooling, etc. 
  • Check the weather—September can be unpredictable. Sun? Think about your sunscreen and hat. Rain? Bring a poncho and wear your rain boots. Cold? A light jacket is a good idea! 
  • Bring your empty bottle or water flask! You can refill it on site. 

During

  • Have your electronic ticket ready on your phone. 
  • Enjoy the shows to the fullest. Discover new things, there are about thirty artists on the program! 
  • Act respectfully in your interactions with staff and other festivalgoers. Everyone's here to have fun! 
  • Immediately inform a security member or someone from La Brigade (identified by a yellow card around their neck) if you witness a disrespectful, dangerous, or violent situation. 
  • Consume responsibly. 
  • Recycle your cans without crushing them or removing the tab—aluminum is infinitely recyclable! 
  • Respect the surrounding environment and the enchanting campus site. 
  • Explore the chill zones, numerous games, and much more! 
  • Remember to have your ticket scanned at the exit if you leave the site and plan to return later. 

After

  • Make sure to pick up all your trash. 
  • Be a good neighbor and avoid making too much noise when leaving the site late at night. The residents of St-Foy thank you! 
  • Get home safely. Take the bus or a taxi if you're intoxicated.
